Cary is one of North Carolina's largest and most prosperous communities — a town of more than 180,000 residents at the heart of the Research Triangle, home to SAS Institute, the world's largest privately held software company, and a community consistently ranked among the best places to live in the United States. CaryMarijuana.clinic is an online directory and telehealth scheduling platform connecting Cary residents with North Carolina-licensed MDs and DOs who can sign the Doctor's Attestation required by the EBCI Medical Cannabis Program.
We are not a medical practice, dispensary, or pharmacy, and we are not affiliated with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians or its Cannabis Control Board. We connect patients with qualified North Carolina providers and explain the EBCI application process — from Downtown Cary and Preston to Cary Towne Center, Mills Park, and every Cary neighborhood.
Every provider on our platform holds an active North Carolina medical license and can sign the Doctor's Attestation form the EBCI Cannabis Control Board requires for the Medical Cannabis Patient Card application.
All telehealth appointments are conducted on HIPAA-compliant platforms. Cary patients' health information is handled with complete confidentiality throughout the process.
We explain clearly that North Carolina has no state medical marijuana program, that the EBCI card is only valid on Tribal land, and what the $100 EBCI fee covers — paid directly to the EBCI Cannabis Control Board.
The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians is a federally recognized sovereign tribal nation in western North Carolina. In 2021, the Tribal Council voted to legalize medical cannabis on Tribal land, and in 2023 the EBCI Cannabis Control Board began accepting applications from North Carolina residents statewide. A Cary patient books a real-time video visit with an NC-licensed MD or DO. The provider reviews the patient's medical history against the 18 qualifying conditions and, if appropriate, signs a Doctor's Attestation. The patient then applies directly to the EBCI Cannabis Control Board through the EBCI online patient portal, submitting the attestation, a government-issued ID showing NC residency, and a compliant photo, along with the $100 fee. Approval results in a one-year Medical Cannabis Patient Card.
Cary patients should understand this clearly before booking: the EBCI Medical Cannabis Patient Card is valid only on Tribal land, near Cherokee, NC — approximately approximately three and a half hours from Cary. Cannabis purchased there cannot legally be transported off Tribal land. It remains illegal under both North Carolina state law and federal law everywhere else. We believe in full transparency about this limitation so patients can make an informed decision before booking.
